What Is a State

A state or province in the pockets network is the regional tier — the level where dozens of county communities speak with a unified voice.

State-level delegates represent the counties beneath them in the national delegate body. State reserves pool from county activity and create larger regional capacity for programs and grants. The state portal reflects the aggregate health of every county within its borders.

A state does not compete with its counties. It represents them.

Governance Layer

The Circuit

The State Circuit is where counties within a state meet each other. It is the deliberative layer for regional communities — where county delegates coordinate, where state-level resolutions are discussed, and where the work of regional governance happens outside the noise of the general public feed.

Posts in the state circuit are tagged with the county of origin. A reader in the state circuit sees every county represented by its own marker — the aggregate voice of the region made visible.

The circuit is publicly visible. Contribution requires residency.

Architecture

How It Works

A state's presence in the pockets network begins with its first county. As counties activate within the state, state-level delegate bodies form and state circuits come alive.

State delegates are elected from county resident communities. They carry their counties' voices into the national level, and from there into the international delegate bodies.

The state is the connective tissue. The county is the root. The country is the crown.
